After the birth of my second baby, and my 40th birthday about to rear it’s ugly head, I promised myself I would try to get in the best shape of my life. Then I became a single mom and I figured it was never going to happen. When I saw that Catherine was offering classes at my work, I decided it was the only way I could do it and I didn’t want to give up on myself just yet. I was really nervous and had no idea what to expect. But right from the first class, I felt cared for. I love how Catherine encourages us by name. And she doesn’t ever make you do something you’re not comfortable doing, but she also won’t let you wuss out either. I have been challenged! And every week I feel a difference. My body has changed – I’m stronger, and I sleep better and have more energy. I’m about to run my second 5k of the year! I really owe it all to Catherine. Even on the days when I’m not sure I feel like going, I always go, because I know how it makes me feel. More than being a hot single mom (although, that’s good too!), I want to set a good example for my girls, and Catherine is helping me do that.

After running out of excuses not to sign up for her class, I had no choice but attend in the fall of 2011. The 1st class almost killed me. My knees were all scraped from crawling back to my car. However, the routine she put us through targeted all of my problem areas (Quads and abs). Although I felt my fitness level improving as the weeks went on, the classes intensified. At the end of 6 weeks, I felt stronger and looked more fit. I look forward to her next session and highly recommend her classes to anyone regardless of their fitness level. All I can say is Catherine’s classes are very addicting! I started off by coming as a guest and am now committed to a second 6 week session! I was very nervous going into my first workout program (ever!!!), as I didn’t know if I could keep up with everyone. I originally signed up for just six weeks, but I really enjoyed the classes and have signed up for an additional 12 weeks. Catherine is tough, but fair. All she asks is that you work you push yourself in her class (such as when I kept using 10 pound kettlebells, Catherine pushed me to use 12 pound kettlebells, and trust me, the extra pounds made a difference). Exercises that I really struggled with at the start of the course, come easier now (but are still very tiring), and every week, Catherine comes prepared with a new routine. I was a skeptic going into boot camp, but I am not anymore. Catherine’s a great instructor and I feel a lot better about myself after class. I recommend anyone to come to class. It will be well worth your time.

Catherine is a breath of fresh air. Her spirit and personality transcend everything she does. An hour goes by so quick with exercises of which I have never done before–and although I am completely fatigued and exhausted I have had a great time and a great workout. From our first session, she quickly understood my goals and weaknesses and works to incorporate sports-specific moves for activities that are important to me. In the relatively short time I’ve been working with her I am getting much stronger, and she has given me progressively more difficult routines that I can use on the days I exercise without her.
